Tonight I am making progress without even soldering.
I came home to find my recently licenced 15 year old son keen to help me finish the construction of my BITX20.
Not being one to pass up a hand I showed him where the transistors went and which way to put them and left him to it.
About 20 minutes later he came looking for more.
I showed him where the diodes went and which way round to place them as well as the resistors that I have and left him to it.
I guess he has saved me about 1 hour’s work with his parts assembly. I hope I don’t have to spend the same or more time fixing his errors!
Time will tell.
