I’ve been active in SOTA since the VK3 Association was launched in February 2012. All of my activations have been in Victoria and, until today, all my chasing was in VK.
This afternoon, for no particular reason, I checked SOTA watch and saw Mike, 2E0YYY, and Dave, G4ASA were active on SOTA summit Normanby Top, G/TW-005.
I gave them a call from the rig in the shack and was lucky enough to work them both.
This made it my first non-VK SOTA chase and also qualified me for the Bronze Mountain Hunter award.
