BITX20 Update #14

After months of working on a circuit board sitting on the bench with potential for short circuits never too far away I finally decided to fasten my BITX20 to something.

I got a piece of blank circuit board and fashioned a front panel and wired up the controls and a microphone. I screwed the board and front panel on to a scrap piece of plywood that was handy.

I have the RX input and the TX output on RCA sockets at present for ease of testing.

Tonight I switched to transmit, spoke into the microphone and heard myself on my FTDX100 on the other side of the bench.

Not exactly DX but at least the transmitter it is working.

Now I need to make a start on the linear amplifier so I can make some QSOs.
