As mentioned earlier I went portable for the Westlakes Cup back in September.
At the time I thought I had done well and it looked like 2nd place was likely. Now the results have been published I find others had done even better and I finished in 4th place.
I can’t help thinking the 2:1 SWR and the extreme noise level of the evening robbed me of a couple of points. I can do something about the SWR but the lightening crashes are a bit out of my control.
Looking forward to next year and planning to be somewhere inside with a better antenna.
