As I prepare for Scouthike I got an email from Alan, VK4SN, to say that the results of the 2009 RD contest were available on line.
The SRESU had put a team together for this contest and we managed 1oth place in the multi op HF phone category.
As I said at the time we were compromised by our location and tower height but we did get to give the band pass filters a good run.
Perhaps next year we will have a CW operator on the team so we can go back to the open category.
Next year we also need to plan to work the whole 24 hours of the contest with three or four operators right through. Hopefully the improved sunspot predictions will come true.
