Back in the middle of June I was tuning around 80m and heard what would have to be one of the longest call signs around “Victor India Two Alpha Mike Whiskey Six Zero”.
Curious I gave the op a call and learnt that it was the commemorative call sign for the Illawarra Amateur Radio Society
We exchanged reports and I got a little history about the club. About a week later I heard VI2AMW60 again, this time on 40m. Again we exchanged reports and I got the QSL details.
I sent a Stamped Self Addressed Envelope and my QSL card to the QSL manager.
Today I received back a QSL card for both contacts. One more to add to my small but growing collection of cards.
You can see the QSL card at http://www.qrz.com/callsign/vi2amw60
