I had a rare evening at home tonight and checked the VK Contest Club contest calendar just after 7:30 pm.
I found the Waitakere Sprint was on 80m at 8pm so I gave it a go from home.
Normally I work portable for contests as I don’t have a very good antenna system at home. Any contest from home is always a compromised effort.
Still, I made 22 contacts across VK and ZL in the 1 hour allowed so I am reasonably happy with that.
I had my log emailed to the contest manager about 20 minutes after the sprint ended.
Lucky I didn’t go portable as the rain is quite heavy now.
